Fortnite players are having an issue when they edit while looking straight down. Epic has responded.
Fortnite v11.40 was the first update in a while. Unfortunately, it brought a handful of new bugs to the game along with the Sidegrading feature and revamped AK.
The first bug seemed like it might be intentional at first. You can shoot through the cracks in wooden ramps. Players were nervous that Epic intended to make this change, but a post on the r/FortniteBR subreddit confirmed that it was a bug.
At the time of writing, Epic has still yet to address the issue. Be careful if you’re taking some minis on the other side of a ramp.
Another relatively large issue with v11.40 is that players can’t edit their ramps or floors while looking straight at the ground. You have to be looking at your structure from an angle if you want to edit it accurately.
This might not sound like a big deal, but you look at the ground to edit more frequently than you might think.
This issue was more clearly a bug than the ability to shoot through ramps. Epic addressed the bug and stated that they are working on a fix. “We’re aware of an issue preventing players from Editing if they’re looking straight down,” the @FortniteStatus account stated.
We’ll have to wait and see how long it takes for Epic to remedy this problem. It’s not a bug that affects 100% of edits, but it’s enough to throw a wrench in an otherwise decent update.
